Audi Q5 Limited Edition launched in India
Audi has launched its new Q5 Limited Edition model in India which has been priced at Rs. 69.72 lakh (ex-showroom India). The special edition Q5 variant comes with the same options as the top-end Technology trim of the Audi Q5 but gets a different paint scheme and as the name aptly indicates, will be available in limited numbers. The vehicle will be made available in a single Mythos Black exterior paint. The black-out theme is visible everywhere and gets applied to the grille, roof rails and even the logo. As for the interior, it still has black as its dominant colour but gets Okapi Brown seats.
In terms of creature comforts, the Audi Q5 Limited Edition retains all of the features found in the top-end trim. This includes the 19-speaker sound system, wireless charging and the 12.3-inch driver's display to name a few. The vehicle is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which produces 265hp and 370Nm of torque. The power is transferred to the wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. As always, Audi's renowned Quattro all-wheel drive system is also present.
Single-cylinder Ducati Hypermotard spotted testing
By the looks of it, Ducati seems to be preparing another Hypermotard, just that the one which was recently spied on had a much simpler single-cylinder engine. While Ducati has been experimenting with different or unusual engines on a few of its motorcycles, this one indeed seems a bit odd as it hasn't launched a single motorcycle with such an engine in a long time. The engine in question is a 659cc single-cylinder layout which is expected to be liquid-cooled and will have a 4-valve architecture letting it churn out around 75hp.
The motorcycle in the spy shots looks like a typical Ducati Hypermotard 950 with the tapering beak and the large exhaust canister. The motorcycle surely does not appear like a budget motorcycle and sports a tubular frame, upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock but with a double-sided swingarm. Indeed there are many signs that this will be a low-end model. The motorcycle which currently seems to be close to production should see the light of day by 2024.
Upcoming Mahindra BE electric SUV to get 3D in-car audio
Among the many popular and premium auto brands around the globe that have integrated Dolby's audio systems and features into their vehicles, Mahindra seems to be next on the list. The automaker is set to adopt Dolby's audio technologies into its upcoming EV, which have been teased but will be launched in the coming years and is currently undergoing testing. Dolby is said to be working with Mahindra to equip the automaker's upcoming SUV range of BE electric SUVs with its Atmos Music system.
Dolby Atmos, like its personal audio and in-home counterparts, aims to provide a more life-like sound system that provides a wider soundstage giving the listener the experience of audio separation or the feeling of being present in front of a live performance. According to Dolby, it is a lot easier to pull this off in a vehicle, given the excellent sound isolation an in-car environment provides and the fact that passengers are always seated in a designated position, making the experience easier to design with well-positioned speakers. Mahindra is expected to make use of hardware from audio specialist Harman to provide the three-dimensional audio experience.
